Do you have to be flexible to practice yoga?
No - Slowly your flexibility will be improved through regular practice.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing like normal gym wear, leggings, t-shirts and singlets. Men may like to wear track suit pants or shorts and t-shirt.
Is yoga a religion?
No. There are many aspects of yoga; some are physical, some spiritual and some are philosophical.
Can I eat and drink before a class?
It is best not to have eaten a large meal 3-4 hours prior to your class. Water should be kept at a minimum ½ hour before class. The reason being, that you will be working on stretching, twisting and massaging your internal systems as well as the rest of your body and you will feel much more comfortable without too much food in your digestive system.
What type of yoga do you practice?
We practice Hatha Yoga.
I have had an injury, can I still practice yoga?
Depending on the injury you should be able to practice yoga. Always talk to your teacher about the injury before commencing a class. |
