Class Descriptions

In all the classes, there will be elements of warm up, standing poses, twists, sitting/supine poses, forward/back bends and inversions.  If you are a beginner, please don’t let the terms scare you off, as all the poses will be fully explained and demonstrated and then will you can try for yourself in a safe manner. At the end of each class there will be Savasana, which is your time for relaxation and meditation.

Beginner Class
Introduction to the postures and techniques of Hatha Yoga in an environment free of judgment and competition. This class is suitable for those with little or no previous yoga experience.

General Class
For those wanting to take their practice further with more challenging poses. 

After School Yoga Junior
Fun class for kids aged 4-9 years old.  It is never too early to introduce yoga postures, body awareness and meditation; skills learnt that will benefit your children forever.   The kids will practice yoga poses through games and music whilst learning to concentrate and focus.  At the end of the class they will practice to find their quiet space within themselves. Come and join Anna’s girls, Helena and Maya in a warm and fun environment.

After School Yoga
Great class for older children 10+ years old, to learn more about correct alignment in the growing body. Through the yoga poses you learn to train your mind and body to focus and concerntrate - a great skill to carry through to an exam setting.

Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy yoga is a great way to maintain and develop your physical strength, flexibility, fitness in a low impact and safe way. Gentle yoga classes may greatly assist and prepare the body for the physical changes of pregnancy and the ultimate demands of labour and birth. As women progress through their pregnancy the yoga postures can be adapted to suit their growing and changing bodies.

Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga synchronizes breath and continuous movement through a set series of asanas (postures). This combination creates intense heat, and thereby rids the body of toxins, removes impurities, and creates vibrant physical, mental and spiritual wellness.
